Individual Pilgrims on foot always on the left side of the road, if there are no closed or dangerous curves. Change side of the road if you can not see upcoming traffic. Be caraful on busy roads and respect always European Traffic Regulation. Yellow Arrows every 35-50 meters on the left side of the road, so walking Pilgrims can always see the direction to walk. Do not stop or stand on the road, but some 3 meters from the road beside it, maybe you can even sit and rest. Do not walk to far in the beginnig of your Caminho, 20-25km per day in the first week, enjoy nature, monuments, people and culture along the Caminho. Cyclists on Roadbicycles should always study the Way to follow carefully upfront, and always respect European Traffic Regulation, not cycling beside eachother, but always behind eachother! If you have to stop, first round a corner and then step down, at least 3 to 5 meters from the Road is a lot safer. Cyclists always on the right side of the road following the same direction as Traffic.Take always a good Roadmap with you, where you have marked your way to follow, where to eat, where to rest and do not forget that in Galicia cyclists are not accepted in Albergues before 4p.m., so plan your stage of the day between 50-60km or less, arriving around 5-5.30p.m. there where you like to spend the evening, have dinner and sleep. DO NOT MAKE YOUR CAMINHO A RACE, A COMPETITION; slow down and enjoy the beauty of the Iberian Peninsula, its Culture and Heritage, enjoy your Caminho, a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. 04.05.2016.
