Puente Ulla, 2015.
ReplyDeletePor el antiguo puente se cruza el río que divide las provincias de A Corunha (Comarca de Santiago) y Pontevedra (Tabeirós), alimentando un fértil y húmido valle en el que se cultiva la vinha.
La localidad, bastante pintoresca, tiene por telón de fondo el puente del ferrocarril, que son su gran arco parabólico se eleva 90 m sobre las aguas.
La Iglesia de A Madalena conserva una pintura mural del Siglo XVI en su ábside semicircular, que es el único vestigio de la fábrica Románica.
En la zona abundan los pazos, en ocasiones destinados a la hosteleria, y la presencia del Pico Sacro resulta cada vez más apabullante.
Para regresar a la Carretera N 525 es preciso rodear al pazo de Vista Alegre.

ReplyDeleteEstamos en el límite entre las Provincias de Pontevedra y La Corunha, definido por el curso del río Ulla.
En Puente Ulla, después de visitar la Iglesia Románica de Santa María Magdalena podemos detenernos a admirar, en la fachada granítica de una de sus casas, un bello capitel Románico con la representación del milagro de San Nicolás de Bari.
En Puente Ulla hay tiendas, bares y restaurantes.
